Meet Our Team

Brandon Faneuf

Owner & Principal Wetland Scientist

Brandon Faneuf is the president and founder of Ecosystem Solutions, Inc. and has more than twenty years of experience in environmental science. A native of Blackstone, Massachusetts, Brandon earned degrees in wildlife biology and wetlands conservation from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

During his graduate studies, he joined the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) as an intern in the Wetlands Permitting Program. There, he conducted a statewide study on wetlands permitting compliance, which helped strengthen the state’s post‑permit inspection process and contributed to the development of a standardized compliance inspection form.

Brandon became a full‑time RIDEM employee in 1998, initially serving as a wetlands permit reviewer. In 2000, he moved to the Water Quality Assessments (TMDL) Program, and by 2002, he was also responsible for shoreline surveys within the Shellfish Program. His work included leading water quality restoration efforts for the Saugatucket River and Point Judith Pond. He also served as RIDEM’s liaison to the North American Lake Management Society.

In 2003, Brandon founded Ecosystem Solutions, Inc. with a mission to build a highly knowledgeable, client‑focused environmental consulting firm. What began with wetland and soil science services and NPDES Phase II permitting has since expanded into a comprehensive suite of environmental consulting offerings, all grounded in Brandon’s expertise, field experience, and commitment to science‑driven solutions.
