Brandon Faneuf, Owner & Principal Scientist
Brandon Faneuf is president and founder of Ecosystem Solutions, Inc. and has been working in the environmental science field for over twenty years. A native of Blackstone, Massachusetts, Brandon attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, earning degrees in wildlife biology and wetlands conservation. While completing graduate studies, he went to work for the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) in Providence, RI. Originally working as an intern in the Wetlands Permitting Program, Brandon conducted a study on wetland permitting compliance throughout the state as part of graduate degree completion requirements. The findings of this study were used to reinforce the importance of compliance inspections after the permitting process, as well as developing a standard compliance inspection form.
Hired by RIDEM as a full-time employee in 1998, Brandon worked as a permit reviewer in the Wetlands Permitting Program until moving to the Water Quality Assessments Program in 2000 and becoming responsible for shoreline surveys as well in the Shellfish Program in 2002. As a scientist in the Water Quality Assessments Program, also know as the Total Maximum Daily Load Program (TMDL), Brandon became responsible for water quality restoration efforts in the Saugatucket River in South Kingstown and Point Judith Pond in South Kingstown and Narragansett. Brandon was also the Departmental contact for the North American Lake Management Society.
Since founding Ecosystem Solutions, Inc. in 2003, Brandon has been striving to create a solid, knowledge-based environmental science consulting firm catering to each client’s specific needs. While already providing wetland and soil science services, as well as NPDES Phase II permitting assistance, Brandon continues to expand services and make Ecosystem Solutions, Inc. a comprehensive environmental science source.
